Tester terms
By signing up as a tester, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask us at support@irisforu.com before you agree.
1. Who can take part #
You must be 18 or older. You sign up with your own details, and you test with your own devices and accounts.
2. Alpha builds may break #
Iris is in alpha. That means:
- Builds may crash, lose your settings, or do the wrong thing.
- Features may change or disappear without notice.
- Do not rely on Iris for anything important, like an alarm you cannot miss or a message that must go out.
We are not responsible for loss or harm that comes from using an alpha build. Use your own judgement, and keep backups of anything important.
3. Keep what you see confidential #
What you see in the alpha is not public.
- Do not share screenshots, recordings, or details of Iris outside the program.
- Do not post about it on social media.
- Screenshots and recordings you send us in bug reports are fine. That is what they are for.
4. Report honestly #
- Report real problems you actually ran into.
- No made-up bugs. No splitting one bug into several reports to earn more points. No reporting on behalf of someone else.
- Do not try to break into our systems, other people's accounts, or other testers' data. If you come across a security problem by accident, report it to us and do not use it.
Dishonest reports are rejected and can get you removed from the program, with any pending points cancelled.
5. Points and payouts #
Points work exactly as described on the Points and payouts page, which is part of these terms. In short:
- Points are only for real, confirmed bugs.
- Points stay pending until a bug is confirmed.
- The owner's decision on points is final.
- The alpha has a limited budget, and a limit of Rs 2,500 per tester. Awards can pause if the budget runs low.
Payouts are made by UPI.
6. We may end the program or remove a tester #
We may pause or end the alpha at any time. We may remove a tester who breaks these terms, or for any other fair reason.
7. Your data #
We handle your data as described on What Iris sees. That page explains what Iris hears, reads and remembers, what we keep and for how long, and how to turn each part off.
For the testing program itself, we keep your sign-up details (name, email, phone, city, devices), your bug reports and their attachments, your points, and, after your first cash-out, your UPI ID. We use them only to run the program and to fix Iris.
You can ask us to delete your account and your data at any time by writing to support@irisforu.com.
8. Changes to these terms #
If we change these terms, we will email you. If you do not agree with a change, you can leave the program.
