Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-08. These terms are the agreement between you and us (the team that makes and runs Iris, based in India) when you use Iris on any device or on irisforu.com. We kept them short and plain. If anything is unclear, ask at support@irisforu.com before you agree.

When you tick "I agree" at sign-up, or keep using Iris after a change we told you about, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Iris #

You must be 18 or older. You sign up with your own true details and use your own devices and accounts. You keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. What Iris is #

Iris is an AI assistant. You are talking to software, not a person.

  • She can be wrong. AI answers can be inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete, even when they sound sure. Check anything important yourself.
  • She is not a professional. Iris does not give medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and nothing she says replaces it.
  • Iris is new and still changing. Features may change, pause or be removed. Do not rely on Iris for anything critical, like an alarm you cannot miss or a message that must go out on time.

3. When Iris acts for you #

Iris can do things on your behalf, like draft a message, open an app, set a reminder or play music.

  • She asks before anything that leaves your device in your name, like sending a message. Nothing is sent until you confirm.
  • You are responsible for what you confirm. Read a draft before you say yes.
  • If Iris does not have a permission she needs, she will not try. She tells you, and you decide whether to give it.

Iris asks for permissions (like the microphone or screen reading) and explains each one: what it is for, why it helps, and what we keep. You choose. Iris works with what you allow, and each feature that needs a missing permission will tell you so.

You can withdraw any permission at any time: from the switches in Iris's settings, the Stop taking context button, the mute button, or your device's settings. We record what you agreed to and when, so we can show it if asked. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

5. Your content #

What you say, type, send or store in Iris stays yours. You give us permission to process it only to run Iris for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

6. Fair use #

Please don't:

  • use Iris for anything illegal, or to harm, harass, deceive or spy on anyone;
  • use Iris to send spam or messages people did not want;
  • try to break into our systems, other people's accounts, or get around usage limits;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer Iris, or use it to build a competing service;
  • feed Iris other people's private information without the right to share it.

Iris may see other people's information on your screen or in your messages. Use her in a way that respects their privacy.

7. Plans and limits #

Iris is free during the early period. Each plan has daily usage limits, shown in the app. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you the price before you are charged anything, and you choose whether to pay.

8. Services we rely on #

Iris uses other companies to work, such as AI, speech, voice and hosting providers (named in the Privacy Policy), and the apps you choose to connect. We are not responsible for their outages or for their own terms, but we choose them carefully.

9. No guarantees #

We work hard to make Iris useful and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will always work, be error-free, or suit a particular purpose. This does not take away any rights you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be excluded.

10. Limit of our liability #

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unexpected losses, lost data, lost profits, or harm from relying on an AI answer or an action you confirmed. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 6 months before the claim, or ₹5,000.

11. Ending your use #

  • You can stop any time and delete your account in Settings > Delete account. That erases your data as the Privacy Policy describes.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we tell you first and explain why.
  • If we ever shut Iris down, we will tell you in advance.

12. Changes to these terms #

When we change these terms, we update the version at the top. If a change matters to you, Iris will tell you in the app and ask you to agree again before it applies.

13. Law and disputes #

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If we disagree about something, write to us first and we will try to sort it out. If we cannot, the courts of India have jurisdiction.
